Newfoundland Canda History

They say that Newfoundland Canada was discovered 1 A.D. by Beothuk.
was discovered for Europeans by Leif Erikson in the year 1,000. The first attempts to colonize Newfoundland Canada were in the early 17th century to the 18th century, England tried a few times. Newfoundland was the first place in present-day Canada and it was discovered by vikings. There is scientific proof that vikings settled there in the 11th century because we found little remains and other things from a camp. Norse is another word for vikings. Newfoundland now is a very nice place with lots of trees and lakes, and it has the ocean there, that is how Nores got to it. It also has breath taking and beautiful mountains to.

Reflection on ''Creat an Island''

I have decided to make a better reflection because we have to make one fro homework so here it is.
During the lessons and classes we had in November, we had a project to create and island. The name of the project was ''Create and Island.'' We had to do a lot of research if we wanted our island to make sense, and it had to make sense if we wanted a good grade on it. What I did was make my island in the Sea of Japan because it is sheltered and the weather is nice. The climate is consistent throughout the year. Every season has its own ''reputation'' such as Summer: hot and warm, and Namira's climate follows each seasons reputation. Namira is the name of my island. My island is a democracy, but still has a king, and that is what you call a constitutional monarchy. In my island creation I had to mention population, the language, the economy, the government, the history, the agriculture, religio0n, climate, education, and what we import and export from and onto our island. I had to color it, draw a flag, draw the physical features, and so on to make a birds eye view map. Also since on my island they speak Korean I wrote the names of places and cities in Korean, phonetically, and what it means in English. Here is my island, flag, and brochure if you wanna check them out.

Reflection on Islands

I thought that the islands done were very good (overall). So many people had great maps and brochures and everything made sense logically. It was fun to watch and some islands I think I would really love to visit if they were real. Although some islands did not even have everything that they were supposed to have! Some people said WAY to many ummmms. Also some presentations were very inviting.

2nd Quarter Starter

Right now the second quarter has started and we are making our own island. I made my make-believe island in the Sea of Japan. I named it Namira. We have to have a history of our island, a flag, language, government and politics, we have to name the cities. Our island also has to be colored. We have to have an economy which tells what the island imports and exports. Physical features, rivers, compass rose, agriculture religion, education, latitude and longitude, climate, and animals. We also have to make a brochure to invite people to our island. So far I have written the history, made a scale and a legend, have done the physical features, the flag, the language, color, education, and named the cities, I still have to make a final copy of my map, make a brochure, do the government and politics, economy, agriculture, latitude and longitude, compass rose, and religion. I have everything planned out, and now all I have to do is put it on paper by Friday, also on Wednesday we do not have school! That will give me some time.
